WE NEED MCEES' CONSCIOUS MOVEMENT.

Those of us who came of age with hip-hop as the soundtrack of our formative years have longed for the day when hip-hop would move closer to a cultural form more reflective of the complex, multi-dimensional identity of our generation in Tanzania.

We need mcees' conscious movements that will spearhead the struggle against drugs abuse, noble political activisim and good governance, communal developments, and equality in a manner that promotes our oneness and human dignity.
We need mcees' concious movement that will shift the focus from musculinity and fastlane life of hip-hop culture to the culture of conscious revolution and servanthood life.
We need mcees' concious movement that will recognize the importance of much needed cultural reflection and generational dialogue (our challenges).

SUFFERING FROM SELECTIVE HEARING (Singers)

Suffering From Selective Hearing:

A positive learning environment is extremely important, but I also believe the teacher is not the only one responsible. The singers are responsible too, for their own reactions, thoughts and for their hearing.
Some singers used to think that they are being ‘realistic’ if  they thought negative things about their singing. But they are actually negative listener.
They realized that, they are suffering from selective hearing, meaning they had a difficulty hearing the positive things being said to them because their minds decided to only listen for negative things.
They were paying lip service to ‘accepting positive feedback’, while actually constantly fishing for negative remarks. If there were no negative remarks, they would ask for one (“for the sake of getting it even better” of “for the sake of their development”).
Can you believe it?
If you are suffering from selective hearing, it can be a hard habit to break.
It will require some serious training, and thought-stopping.
But it is possible. Do yourself a favor and stop slapping yourself in the face.
You deserve so much better.
